With the increased focus on the Common Core State Standards in all content areas, science and social studies teachers are looking for ways to include additional, authentic literacy experiences in their instruction. Journaling and notebooking activities can be used to incorporate more writing task within your science classes. "An Apple a Day" is the first in a series of science journaling pages that follows the apple tree throughout the year. This first set focuses on the formation of the apple fruit from the flower.
